All About Us

Sam’s Space Soft Play is a purpose-built soft play facility at Firth Park Methodist Church. After years of fundraising and months of building, we were excited to open on the 17th February 2020. But just less than four weeks after opening, we had to shut our doors due to COVID-19.

We are a not for profit organisation, specially designed to bring this facility and joy to the community. This means that if any profits are made, they are reinvested into further facilities and projects to help bring added value to the space and to the wider community.

As a result, especially during the current climate, we rely on a network of volunteers, donations and funding to be able to bring the soft play area and workshops to our customers. 

We are a Christian community who value each person as a unique individual, so Sam’s Space is available to the whole community, welcoming people of all faiths and none. We have a specific Christian-based group called “Mini Disciples” for children and their families as well as “Space For All” sessions for anyone to attend. We are passionate about making a positive impact in our community and providing a safe and fun-filled place where we can enjoy creativity, life and fun together.

We have a three-storey soft play climbing frame with a separate play area for little ones. Our soft play equipment is packed full of monkey bars, a ball pool, LED tubes, two slides and lots of climbing. We also a have café with a seating area where we serve Rijo coffee and refreshments.  On top of this, we have our community space “Haydon's Haven”, where we run projects, activities and workshops.
